The sun always shines on the first day of the football season. Why? I don't know. Is God a Barnsley fan? Probably.
Come five o'clock this afternoon reality may have set in, but until then we can all dream of the wonderful season ahead, in which Barnsley reach the premier league once again and Leeds reach the fourth division.
Anyway, let's not get ahead of ourselves. We have to beat Coventry first.

Don't you just love the first day of the season?

At least until 5pm.

And if you're reading thid REVRUTH, good luck to Hibs.

I know exactly how you feel. The pre-season optimism was good while it lasted; six minutes to be precise. Barnsley lost 4-1 at home. Not good, but wait till next season.
